Renaissance man.  Scholar.  WorldBri.  Master of this domain. (aka Vitaminn B, Brimaxian, Brian, Weinerdude … [kids can be so cruel.])

A Brief History of The WorldBri Phenomenon

Although the names used have been fairly arbitrary, the history of the domain should make it clear exactly who’s in charge here.  With the dawning of the worldwide web, I felt it was necessary to have a webpage name which exuded only the barest minimum of requisite wit.  “The World Bri’ed Web” was coined, and early instances of my web-presence were dubbed thusly, wherever they were hosted.  In 1999, it seemed necessary finally to host the MP3s and such on my own website, and worldbri.com was registered.

The World Bri’ed Web was now a site, not just a page, and demanded some actual design work.  Of course, I did that work on my own, but to make it appear as something more than a personal website – a thing which is never really interesting for those other than the person running it – it took on the life of an “official” site produced by a parent “corporation” promoting the particular individual.  This corporation was World Bri’ed Ltd., and soon branched World Bri’ed Records, the official record label catering to me and the music.

I was given the moniker Vitamin B (my hip-hop stage name, to be sure) which quickly evolved into Vitaminn B (because that extra n provided longevity and higher probability of reproductive fitness), and under the Vitaminn B persona my latest albums were produced.  Vitaminn B Productions got its own logo and contributed exclusively to WBR, which also had a logo.  The World Bri’ed Ltd. family was well-rounded, solidly grounded, and absolutely confounded.

In 2007, the apostrophe-e-d was dropped (an easy move, since it was never a part of the URL) and a sleek new logo brand was molded.  The stylized W and B were critiqued for resemblance to other logos and was again redesigned, next to something which was critiqued for its vague appearance of a stylized W and P.  To eradicate inconsistency and to preserve the elegance of the perfect new logo, the whole World Bri’ed phenomenon was consolidated not simply WorldBri Productions.  (Stuff it, Kevin!)  WBP is the umbrella corporation (mere guise or not) for me, this website, my music, my artwork, my design endeavors, and my professional world.  No mistake about it, this is still a fun, personal website.  But what else can I show off to prospective agents or labels interested in me?  I have to appear legitimate.  And so I am.  If you are an agent or label, don’t have read this section, please.
