Oil paint, on canvas board, with a jar of thinner nearby …

Pencil Drawings  •  Oil Paintings

I really haven’t painted anything since 1995 or so.  Most of these paintings were done in my developmental teenage years, under the instruction of Mr. Baughman at Corona High School in Corona, CA.

The Artwork of Bri: A Warped Mind Brushed Lightly
This scene contains a mushroom cloud, spire-like mountains, a couple of lightning bolts, and a ledge with a guy standing on it, watching.  I did this painting in high-school as well.  A detail from this painting might be the cover to my new fifth music album. Another high-school painting, this time of Oingo Boingo frontman, Danny Elfman.  In August 1996, he and the rest of the band signed this very painting and this poorly composited image from scans of it shows off all the signatures.  That was a very cool day in Los Angeles.
This painting of a wizard looking at a digital watch (which is still a pretty nifty idea) was done during my high-school years.  He has a wooden staff with a glowing green globe, that happens to be on fire.  There is a toad sitting on his shoulder. Nothing too special here.  This was an assignment in oil reduction technique.  The cheetah did come out rather photorealistic, though, so here it is.
The small scale of this painting really isn’t evident, because the scope is so vast, or so my teacher in high school had said.  This actual painting measures about 24" x 20".  Perhaps I should have experimented in large murals. One of my favorites for a long while, this little green alien guy is another oil paint construction.  For some reason, I liked mountains and landscapes; large, vast expanses.  I think this one was painted my first year of college.
